Which season are you?

We identify a business in the Spring of its’ lifecycle when it is between formation and early years but this is not necessarily so. As the term lifecycle suggests, this stage can relate to any business old or new.

Setting up a business will entail establishing the most suitable business entity to use e.g. Sole trader, partnership or limited company. We will evaluate the options with you and assist in its’ formation.

Setting out of objectives involves developing a relationship with you and understanding your motivation and objectives. This is followed by the development of a business plan and harnessing the financial issues to all other relevant factors incorporating human resources, marketing etc.

Design and implementation of systems involves the introduction of accounting and structured systems to simplify the operations of the business and maximise efficiency and productivity.

Handholding will involve both structured and unstructured work with us. Our objectives are to provide you with the complete support service in meeting your business objectives. Some of this will be planned from the outset whilst at other times the unexpected will show itself requiring a creative and effective response. At these times we come into our own.

We consider a company in its‘ Summer cycle to be achieving its’ owner’s objectives and our role to be one of maintaining that position.

Management Systems need constant review to ensure they provide management with key data enabling effective decision making. Our role is to ensure the efficient delivery of relevant information at minimum cost and effective action based on that information.

Business objectives are constantly changing. We endeavour to work alongside our clients recognising the changing terrain and assist the business in meeting its’ objectives.

Sound advice. We act as a sounding board in the ongoing development of the business and assist the businesses management in ‘making it happen’ whatever it might be!

We consider a business in the Autumn of it’s lifecycle to either have moved through it’s ‘Summer‘ or perhaps not quite seen a Summer!

The business strengths need to be evaluated and harnessed to the management’s objectives. If the business lacks the strength to achieve it’s current objectives we can assist in the reassessment and planning exercise that follows

Where to and how? We will assist management in identifying their options and developing a strategy to realign the corporate objectives.

Back to Spring! Resolution of the business’s problems may well result in an immediate identification of the issues at hand followed by a Spring approach whereby new systems are implemented providing management with key indicators and the ability and resources to realign the business results with its’ objectives.

Forward to Winter! If the business outlook is bleak we will identify the options available to management. In some cases this will involve a more defensive approach to both the business and its’ owners designed to secure a longer term position.

A business in the season of Winter is likely to be experiencing difficulties of a variety of forms.

We would assist the management in identifying the problems and offer the most suitable solutions available.

Such problems could be relationship disputes between management and owners,

Unforeseen difficulties perhaps involving the wrong business structure or tax planning.

A downturn in core business activities.

The list is unfortunately endless and each set of circumstances is unique requiring a specific response.

Back to Spring! Resolution of the business’s problems may well result in an immediate identification of the issues at hand followed by a Spring approach whereby new systems are implemented providing management with key indicators and the ability and resources to realign the business results with its’ objectives.

However, some businesses cannot survive the change of season and our approach will be to quickly identify the core issues and report them. Discussions must follow and resolutions be made.
